Overview

The Project Manager Assistant plays a vital role in supporting project managers by planning, organizing, and executing tasks efficiently. This role involves scheduling meetings, tracking project progress, preparing reports, and coordinating team communications to ensure projects meet deadlines and operate smoothly.
 

Responsibilities

The assistant helps in project planning and scheduling, tracks task progress and deadlines, conducts site visits, manages project documentation, communicates with stakeholders, coordinates meetings, and supports budgeting and resource allocation.
 

Qualifications

Candidates must have at least one year of construction experience with a proven track record in administrative roles. They should be knowledgeable in construction methods, materials, blueprints, and tools. Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central is preferred, but training is available. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. Candidates must demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving issues, commitment to safety standards, and exceptional organizational abilities. Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite is required, along with the physical ability to work in demanding environments.

 

Education and Certifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certifications in construction management or carpentry are preferred but not mandatory.
 

Working Conditions

The role is primarily office-based but includes on-site visits with exposure to weather, noise, and potential hazards. Travel to job sites across Oregon and Washington, approximately 50 percent of the time, is required. Evening or weekend work may occasionally be needed to meet deadlines.
 

Schedule

Work hours typically include 8 to 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with on-call and occasional overtime requirements.
