As a Field Service CDL Driver, you will play a dual role in our field service team, supporting both transport and on-site activities. While driving responsibilities are essential, you will only drive a few times per week, focusing the majority of your time on regular field service duties, assisting with equipment setup, maintenance, and on-site support. This role is ideal for those who enjoy a mix of driving and hands-on field work, bringing flexibility and variety to each day.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transportation and Delivery: Safely operate company vehicles to transport equipment, tools, and materials to job sites a few times a week. Ensure safe and timely deliveries to support ongoing projects.
  2. On-Site Field Service: Assist in equipment setup, minor repairs, and maintenance tasks on-site, working closely with construction teams to keep operations running smoothly.
  3. Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment, ensuring safe operation. Report and address any issues promptly.
  4. Safety Compliance: Follow all DOT and OSHA safety regulations for driving and on-site work. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and adhere to all safety protocols.
  5. Customer Service: Act as a professional representative of the company when interacting with customers and on-site teams. Provide excellent service and address any questions or concerns courteously.
  6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of deliveries, site activities, inspections, and any incidents. Complete necessary paperwork for each task in compliance with company standards.
  7. Team Collaboration: Communicate regularly with dispatch, site supervisors, and field service teams to coordinate both delivery schedules and on-site work.
  8. Problem Solving: Address any delivery or on-site service-related issues promptly, working collaboratively to keep projects on track and meeting timelines.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CDL driver, preferably in construction or a related industry.
  2. License and Certification: Valid CDL license (Class A or B as required) with a clean driving record.
  3. Technical Skills: Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, DOT regulations, and safe loading/unloading practices.
  4. Safety Consciousness: Strong commitment to safety, with a working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  5. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing schedules.
  6. Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication skills, both with customers and team members.
  7. Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including heavy lifting, standing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions:

  • This position involves driving to multiple job sites throughout OR/WA, with exposure to various weather conditions and potential hazards.
  • Will require occasional overnight travel and some weekend work to meet project deadlines.
