For a coastal lot, the owner needed more than a place to sleep. The plan called for a small home that could work as a beach cabin or rental while still feeling complete enough for longer stays.
A covered porch extended the usable space for cooking, dining, and wet-weather gear. On a wet Washington coast lot, that covered outdoor space gets used almost every day.
