Both companies build ADUs in the Portland–Vancouver metro. Wolf builds modular homes in Battle Ground and installs them on the property. MyADU offers stock plans and custom on-site design-build services.

Custom drawings vs a factory plan

Choose Wolf when a published model fits

Wolf may be a good fit when a pre-engineered model works for the property and modular delivery is practical. The home is built indoors while permitting and site work move forward.

Choose a design-build firm when you need a custom layout

A design-build firm may be a good fit when the property or owner requires a custom layout. MyADU describes both stock and custom on-site construction options.

What’s the difference between an ADU, a tiny home, and a modular home?

An ADU (accessory dwelling unit) is a legal second dwelling on a lot that already has a house — people also call it a granny flat, backyard apartment, or backyard cottage. “Tiny home” usually describes size. Wolf’s smallest widely available plan is the 432-square-foot Model K; the 307-square-foot Model B is limited to the City of Portland. “Modular” describes the construction method: Wolf homes are built to IRC/IBC residential code, inspected by Washington L&I or Oregon BCD, and installed on a permanent foundation. They are not HUD manufactured homes.

Is MyADU a factory modular builder?

No. MyADU describes a stock and custom design-build service for the Portland–Vancouver metro. Its homes are built on site. Wolf builds modular homes in its Battle Ground factory, where the structure receives a state inspection and insignia before delivery.

May I use MyADU’s published dollar ranges as Wolf’s?

No. MyADU’s FAQ lists stock model ADUs at roughly $150,000–$200,000 and custom ADUs at $250,000–$350,000+, depending on size, site, and finish. Wolf’s pricing is shown separately on this page. Confirm current MyADU pricing directly with that company.
