In the mornings, condensation forms on the inside of the single pane windows, the 3 steps up to the bedroom area seem to get steeper and narrower with age, and the heating system struggles to maintain in the winter months. This is all with a late model RV.
A Model C 10′ x 40′ tiny home was selected as their solution. Close to 6′ longer than the RV and a full 2′ wider (not to mention the 3′ of additional headspace), this was definitely a large step in the right direction. Permitted as an accessory structure, this unit was completely legal under Cowlitz County’s purview.
Going this route vs an RV had numerous advantages including a heating system that will keep up and maintain a constant moisture content, insulation that is equal to an ice chest, and exterior weather cladding identical to all the new homes on the market.
